Wastewater Operator I (3rd Shift)

**POSITION SUMMARY:** Ensures that pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment and other wastewater treatment are operational at all times.

**PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Maintains and operates hazardous waste disposal injection well and assigned equipment.
+ Reports equipment malfunctions promptly.
+ Records daily system readings and inspections of pump leachate.
+ Performs weed trimming and grass cutting around facility and associated systems.
+ Collects and processes storm water samples as needed.
+ Enters data into excel spreadsheets and maintains system records.
+ Keeps records of equipment maintenance and repairs
+ Receipt, handling, recovery, disposal and recycling of hazardous waste.
+ Keeps logs and records of waste received and shipped off-site.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
