About the Role
Transport Planner
Location: Redditch
Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE
Our client is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their team and will be responsible for planning and coordinating HGV movements across the transport network.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and optimise vehicle routes to maximise fleet utilisation and delivery performance
Coordinate fleet schedules and monitor vehicle availability to maintain operational efficiency
Liaise with drivers, customers, warehouse teams, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations
Manage route changes, delays, breakdowns, and other operational issues as they arise
Ensure compliance with transport legislation, driver hours regulations, and operational procedures
Maintain accurate transport records, reporting, and fleet performance data
Monitor transport costs and identify opportunities for operational improvements and efficiencies
