Job Description

The primary objective of setting up the college was first as a stop gap measure to develop necessary skills to ensure continuity in port operations after the collapse of East African Railways and Harbours Corporation.


Trainer, Nautical Science

Job specification:

  • Reporting to the Senior Trainer, the Trainer is responsible for training Students under the provisions of the respective School in accordance with Standards of Training Certification and Watch keeping (STCW) as amended and other Maritime International Conventions.

  • The Trainer will assist in conducting practical training in vessel navigation, repairs and maintenance.

    Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail assisting in: –

  • Designing, developing and delivering of training programmes
