Traffic Planner

About the role

Permanent position.

Working hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday with one hour lunch.

Responsibilities

• Immediate line manager for drivers, allocating work, delivering instructions, monitoring progress, and checking completion at the end of the day.
• Handle any grievance or disciplinary matters.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained and driver checks are carried out properly, striving for constant improvement and increased profitability.
• Manage people, keep accurate records, and deal with queries and problems.
• Apply knowledge of the Waste or Transport industry and good numerical skills.

Requirements & Qualifications

• National CPC and ability to use Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication (in person and on paper) skills.
• Friendly, approachable manner and great teamwork skills.
• Full driving licence essential.
