About the Role
Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Trade Compliance teams in Penang and India, ensuring smooth daily import/export operations and mitigating compliance risks.
Ensure adherence to all applicable trade laws and regulations, including Malaysia Strategic Trade Act (MY STA), Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) requirements, and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and so on.
Work closely with the Global Trade Compliance team on HS code/ECCN classification, export control, and related compliance activities.
Drive compliance programs to enhance internal processes and systems for improved efficiency and risk management.
Monitor regulatory changes, assess business impact, and implement necessary process adjustments in collaboration with global teams.
