TRACTOR BACKHOE OPERATOR – Water & Sewer Construction
WCL is looking for an experienced Underground Tractor Backhoe Operator to support our water and sewer crews following earthworks. This role focuses on running a hoe pack on a backhoe and potentially a track hoe, compacting clay around existing utilities as well as helping the wheel loader with aggregate and material organization.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- 3+ years experience operating tractor backhoes in underground water and sewer or heavy civil construction.
- Strong ability to work around existing utilities and live services.
- Comfortable supporting mainline crews with aggregate and material as needed.
- Strong understanding of trench safety and underground job site practices.
- Ability to perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
