TN26 | Support Worker

client/child: Oliver, 19, is an active, happy and cheerful young man with a great sense of humour. He enjoys listening to music, watching Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol, trips out on public transport and top of his hobby list, is visiting places with Windmills. Oliver sustained a brain injury following a misdiagnosis of meningitis after birth. As a result, he has a complicated neurodevelopment disorder which presents as a Learning Disability, Hydrocephalus with a VP shunt in situ, epilepsy (controlled via medication), ADHD, right side Hemiplegia, reduced mobility, and expressive communication difficulties. Oliver struggles with self-regulation and can at times display behaviours that may challenge. He lives with his father; his mother and grandparents visit very regularly, he is very much a family man. We are building up Oliver’s care team gradually to provide 2:1 support.
