About the Role
- Assists the Second Engineer in the operation and maintenance of engine room machinery and systems.
- Responsible for specific machinery (often boilers, auxiliary engines, fuel systems, purifiers, compressors).
- Carries out regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of assigned equipment.
- Ensures safe operations and compliance with international maritime regulations
- Valid STCW III/1 Certificate of Competency (OIC – Engineer Watchkeeping).
- Knowledge of engine room machinery and auxiliary systems.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Fit for duty under STCW and MLC standards; proficient in English.
