Telecommunications Technician

Description

Required Qualifications • 3–5 years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing telecommunications systems, including digital microwave, fiber optic networks, LANs, voice systems, and wireless data communications. • Understanding of telecom, wireless, data, and voice network topologies and how they interface with one another. • Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware and software associated with personal computers, peripheral devices, telecommunications systems, alarm systems, and DC power systems. • Knowledge of PC hardware, operating systems, software components, and troubleshooting techniques for voice and data wireless systems. • Experience racking and stacking network and telecom equipment. • Strong personal computer skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Good verbal and written communication skills, along with solid time management and organizational skills.
