Teaching Assistant Level 2

Salary Grade D Points 6 to 8 (£25,989 to £26,824 Full Time Equivalent) subject to pro rata. The minimum actual pro rata salary per annum for this job starts at £16,555.55.

The Vale Academy are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our academy in September 2026 on a part‑time, temporary basis for one year.

Responsibilities

The Teaching Assistant will work under the instruction and guidance of teachers and senior staff to undertake work, care and support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and assist the teacher in managing pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.
