supplier quality engineer

Responsible for ensuring that suppliers deliver mechanical components and assemblies that meet defined quality standards and specifications. Supports supplier development, monitors performance, and drives corrective actions to maintain high-quality products.

JOB DUTIES

· Ensure all incoming and outgoing inspections of mechanical parts and assemblies from suppliers are performed in compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.

· Conduct periodic supplier audits, capability assessments, and onsite buy-offs to ensure compliance with quality and process standards, and to monitor or resolve supplier issues.

· Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams (engineering, production) to identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues.

· Monitor supplier performance metrics (PPM, on-time delivery, audit results) and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
