Structural Engineer – Senior Level – Hydropower Focus (Hybrid)

Overview

Barr is seeking a senior structural engineer to join our Calgary or Saskatoon team. In this hybrid role, you will support the Engineering and Design structural group as part of multidisciplinary project teams providing structural engineering and related technical expertise primarily for dam structures, hydropower facilities, and flood control structures.

Responsibilities

• Complete dam safety reviews, audits, and inspections as well as structural analysis and design for hydraulic structures.
• Lead the planning, coordinating, and execution of projects; help ensure project milestones are met and provide regular updates to project managers and clients.
• Develop and maintain client relationships with dam, hydropower, and flood control clients; perform site inspections and minor construction observations.
