About the Role
We are currently hiring a Structural Engineer to join the Engineering team at our Underground Salt Mine in Goderich, Ontario. This is not a fly in/fly out position. The candidate would be required to relocate to the area.
Compass Minerals’ Goderich Salt Mine, located 1,800 feet under Lake Huron, is the largest underground salt mine in the world.
Goderich is named Canada’s Prettiest Town and is best known for its stunning sunsets. Goderich is a lakeside community of 8,000 people located approximately 1.5 hours from London and Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario.
HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM?
Perform the necessary calculations and designs for various structures such as conveyor beltline systems, transfer towers, crusher and screen supports, material transfer/storage systems (loading pockets, chutes, support towers, shaft skipping, truck loadout, rail loadout, ship loader, bin storage/metering, live pile storage, surface dome storage) and foundations.
