Structural Designer

Sedgman is looking for an intermediate Structural Designer to join our team in the Vancouver, BC office. The ideal candidate will have experience in producing 2D drawings and 3D models of steel and concrete structures used in mining (such as conveyor galleries, crusher stations, process plants and building structures).

This individual translates conceptual designs from structural engineers into constructable technical plans that meet safety standards, structural engineering principles, and industry codes. They will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical, civil, and electrical) on EPCM projects, and will be involved in the entire design process.

Responsibilities

Produce accurate detailed structural drawings (plans, elevations, sections) and 3D models using Autodesk Advance Steel, AutoCAD, or other industrial software.
