Sr. Medical Sonographer (Diagnostic Imaging)

Overview

Under the direction of the Chief Radiologist, is responsible for the division of ultrasound, supervises and performs those duties directly involved in a wide range of diagnostic medical techniques in the field of ultrasound. Demonstrates independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative. Supervises technologists of all lower grades and recommends the scheduling of daily workload and performs minor repairs to the ultrasound units. Functions as a clinical coordinator of the ultrasound program in cooperation with the Michener Institute.

Education

- High school graduate or equivalent

- Satisfactory completion of formal Radiography training in an approved CAMRT.
Training school or equivalent and is registered with the

Experience

- Technologist in the field of Ultrasound for not less than 4 years
