Role: Debt Recovery Solicitor (adult social care fees)

Our local government client is seeking a specialist debt recovery solicitor to join their team. This role is to manage a full caseload of adult social care debt recovery files. Given the Mazur ruling, candidates must hold a current practicing certificate and be a qualified lawyer.

Responsibilities

• Working solely on debt recovery matters relating to adult social care, including providing detailed legal advice on disputes or financial issues (often complex, requiring a tailored approach; matters typically involve trusts, wills, probate complications, property title issues, irregularities in financial assessments for care fees, and related early debt advice concerning family disputes that may later affect the funding of care).
