Software Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and manage the source code of a retail Point-of-Sale (POS) system. The role involves hands-on development and support of application enhancements, bug fixes, and system stability initiatives in a production environment.

In addition, the Software Engineer is responsible for preparing and presenting weekly status reports to supervisors, including the remote development team and local management team, to ensure clear visibility of assigned tasks, progress and risks. The role requires strong technical ownership, effective communication, and a proactive approach to issue management and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform application enhancements, bug fixes, and Change Request (CR) code changes for VB6-based systems.
