Job Context

We are hiring a Software Engineer IV to join the Delight engineering team. This role reflects Simpro’s Software Engineer IV expectations while operating in a founder‑led, startup‑style environment.

You will own backend‑heavy systems that power core product features and AI‑driven workflows used in production every day. This is a high‑autonomy, high‑impact individual contributor role with direct influence on architecture, technical direction, and long‑term system design.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and operate production backend services and APIs using Python and TypeScript
• Build and operate AI‑enabled systems integrating large language models and agent‑style workflows
• Own systems end to end, from design through production operation and evolution
• Architect and run distributed, asynchronous, event‑driven systems
