About the Role
Join General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada as a Software Engineer focused on ISTAR solutions. This role involves critical software design, development, and testing for military applications within a collaborative team setup.
As part of the LC4ISR ISTAR team, you will support the Canadian Army by delivering essential Intelligence, Reconnaissance, Target Acquisition, and Surveillance capabilities. Your work in developing Java-based applications and backend systems will have a significant impact on national defence. This position is primarily on-site in Ottawa with remote flexibility, requiring occasional travel for field trials.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define SDK design and clean interfaces
• Create J2EE enterprise data sharing pipelines
• Develop Java desktop client applications
• Write maintainable code and enforce standards
• Participate in Agile processes and support customer trials
