SMT Line Programmer - Engineer

Job Summary

Responsible for programming, optimizing, and supporting SMT production lines, including pick-and-place machines, to ensure high efficiency, low defect rates, and minimal component wastage.

Key Responsibilities

• Program and optimize SMT (Surface Mount Technology) production lines.
• Create and optimize pick-and-place / mounting machine programs.
• Set up feeders, tape orientations, and perform nozzle changes.
• Validate machine programs for new PCB designs and product variants.
• Support production runs including troubleshooting, changeovers, and line balancing.
• Analyze and mitigate placement errors, feeder issues, and component wastage.
• Work closely with Production, Process, and Quality teams to improve yield and performance.
• Maintain documentation including setup sheets, machine parameters, and change logs.
