Reporting to the Line Leader, the Assembler operates a wide variety of sewing machines to join parts of fabricated articles or garments in accordance with product instructions, product sample and customer specifications.
Performs basic or more advanced sewing tasks and techniques on automated and industrial sewing equipment with knowledge of safe working procedures Sets up sewing machine with proper tools, sets stitches, needles and/or attachments to meet required product/contract requirement Performs various sewing tasks such as top stitching, installing zippers, pockets and pocket welts Performs other non-routine tasks which may include grommeting, snaps, drills, marking, clip and turn, heat press, sonic seal and other finer detailed sewing operations Forms pattern pieces and attaches built components Conducts in-line inspections for quality purposes May repair...
