Senior Sous Chef - Safari Lodge, Eastern Cape, South Africa
A luxury Safari Lodge in the Eastern Cape is seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading daily kitchen operations.
The successful candidate will ensure exceptional food quality, maintain high presentation standards, and deliver a personalised guest dining experience in line with 5-star hospitality expectations.
Requirements
-Diploma or formal qualification in Culinary Arts
-Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior culinary role within a 5-star lodge or hospitality environment
-Proven experience managing and leading a kitchen brigade
-Excellent spoken and written English
-Knowledge of food costing, stock control, and kitchen administration
-Working knowledge of GAAP POS and Microsoft Office
-Sound understanding of Food & Beverage service principles
-Valid driver’s license
