• Understanding the strategic goals and the supporting business architecture.
• Obtaining and understanding how our information and data assets will be leveraged.
• Determining the application landscape and roadmap required.
• Identifying the in-place and required technology components.
• Facilitating opportunity identification (bottom-up) through portfolio management activities such as Application Portfolio Management (APM) where applications are analyzed, categorized, classified, and managed through their lifecycle.
