About the Role
Senior Power System Study Engineer Location: Burnaby, BC or Calgary, AB.
Responsibilities
Define the scope and budget for power system studies mandates.
Perform/review power system studies:
Substation grounding & lightning studies.
Substation Bus studies.
Electromagnetic Transient Studies.
AC interference on pipelines and railway infrastructure from power lines and substation ground grids.
Cable Sizing Studies.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings.
Must have excellent command over following software tools: CDEGS, ETAP, WinIGS, CYMCAP, ASPEN OneLiner, PSCAD.
Planning, scheduling, estimation, and engineering coordination with other disciplines.
Attend design review and constructability meetings with customers and represent system studies discipline.
Mentor junior resources in use of power system software modeling and conducting studies.
