About the Role
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Mirfield – Office Based
£45,000–£55,000 + Discretionary Bonus
Our client is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and development of high-quality stainless steel products for cleanroom and controlled environments.
Key Responsibilities
*
Design and develop stainless steel fabricated products and assemblies
*
Produce 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and specifications (Inventor preferred)
*
Ensure designs are suitable for manufacture, assembly, and cost efficiency
*
Provide technical leadership on materials, sheet metal design, tolerancing, and surface finishes
*
Support and mentor junior engineers
*
Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and project teams
*
Manage multiple design tasks and support prototype builds and issue resolution
