About the Role
Freight Rate Management
- Collect and consolidate monthly freight rates from approved shipping lines and freight forwarders.
- Prepare comparative rate sheets and submit them for validation and approval by Sales Team and Top Management.
- Maintain an updated database of approved freight rates by destination, carrier, and service type.
Booking & Shipment Coordination
- Book containers and shipping space based on the approved lowest competitive rates while meeting customer delivery requirements.
- Monitor vessel schedules and proactively manage changes, rollovers, or space constraints.
Customer Communication & Documentation
- Submit all pre and post shipment information to customers, including booking confirmations, vessel details, ETD/ETA, and shipping plans.
