Senior Lecturer in Mathematics

The department of Mathematics and Statistics is seeking to recruit a Senior Lecturer in Mathematics starting 1 September 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter, and ending on 31 August 2028. The position is a fixed-term substitution.

Who we are looking for

The tasks of a senior lecturer include teaching and supervision as well as conducting research in mathematics. We are looking for a candidate who is interested in the undergraduate teaching of mathematics along with their research work and whose research interests match the research profile of our department.

The senior lecturer is expected to be versatilely familiar with mathematics research and have merits in research‑based teaching. A good command of English and ability to teach in Finnish are regarded as an advantage for the applicant.
