Senior Software Engineer – Backend (Java) | 6-Month Contract | Hybrid – 2 Days in Office | £600 p/d Outside IR35
I’m working with a leading technology consultancy looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering cutting-edge, cloud-native platforms. You’ll design and scale backend services, solve complex problems, and take full ownership of your work from design through to production.
What You’ll Do
- Build scalable backend services in Java & Spring Boot
- Work with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform
- Deliver robust microservices end-to-end
- Drive clean code, CI/CD & automated testing best practices
- Mentor engineers & contribute to a collaborative culture
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years backend engineering experience
- Experience in microservices & distributed systems
- Cloud knowledge (AWS preferred)
