About the Role
Job Description The Senior Designer provides design services for the Manager, Engineering & Technical Services, Mechanical and Structural Engineers and the Operations group. This is to enable the implementation of project work in accordance with safety, codes and standards, schedule, quality and cost control.
Responsibilities
Produce drawings from appropriate software accurately and in a timely manner as per specifications and project schedules
Preliminary and final design of structures, fixtures and components to support shaft sinking operations
Ensure drawings are produced in compliance with legislation, regulations, manufacturer specifications and safety policies
Check drawings done by other Designers or Engineers-in-Training
Conducts product and/or process research as required for projects with guidance of Manager, Engineering and Technical Services and make recommendations
