Senior Databricks Data Engineer

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Databricks Data Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience building, orchestrating, and optimizing data solutions using Azure Databricks and the broader Azure Data Platform. The ideal candidate excels in designing secure, scalable data pipelines; managing Databricks workspaces and clusters; publishing governed datasets; and implementing strong data security and governance controls.

This is a contract/freelance role which is fully remote but candidates need to be based within the EU.

This is a 12 months contract initially.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Databricks (Python, PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake).
