About the Role

Our large, enterprise Oil & Gas client is seeking a Senior Application Security Specialist to integrate secure development practices into retail, web, mobile, and cloud-native applications.

This is an initial contract until end of year with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be based in Calgary and agreeable to a full-time in office working model.

Must-Haves:

  • 7+ years' in software development and application security
  • Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and C#, with the ability to review complex codebases
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
  • Experience implementing and securing authentication and authorization using AWS and Cognito
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices, software security principles, threat modeling, and common vulnerability classes.
  • Experience reviewing application designs and identifying security risks.
