Capital Power is currently seeking a highly motivated, commercially minded individual to join our Supply & Trading (S&T) efforts as a Senior Analyst. The role reports to the Director, Origination and is accountable for providing quantitative and commercial support to the WECC portfolio region (AESO, Mid-C, CAISO, and DSW). Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include: Support originators in assessing market opportunities sourced directly from customers and counterparties. Conduct analytical, modeling, reporting and compliance activities, including market analytics, pricing, budget preparation, and corporate and market reporting. Work closely with internal teams—trading, legal, finance, and operations—to ensure successful transaction structuring. Develop pricing models and tools for standard physical and financial, conventional, renewable, retail, and wholesale energy products.
