SEND Teaching Assistant

About the role:

justteachers are supporting a primary school in Nuneaton to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs. This is a full-time role with an Immediate start, fixed term until the end of the academic year. The school has a strong pastoral team, a nurturing ethos and a clear behaviour framework, with regular CPD focused on emotional wellbeing and trauma-informed practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted 1:1 SEMH support
• Implement emotional regulation strategies
• Support behaviour and engagement in lessons
• Work closely with teaching staff and SENDCo

Pre-requisites:

• Level 2 or higher teaching assistant qualification or equivalent (Must be relevant to working with children)
• Proven experience working with children in a school or relevant setting (That can be referenced)
