Security Role as Detention Guard

Ensure safety and security as a Detention Guard in Vernon, BC, earning $32.95 per hour. This role centers on safeguarding prisoners and upholding security protocols.
The Detention Guard reports to the Manager of the Detention Facility and works under the RCMP Watch Commander’s guidance. You’ll be responsible for the welfare of prisoners, conducting inspections, maintaining logs, and reporting irregularities. Experience in correctional environments is a plus; a strong ability to prioritize and manage workloads effectively is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure prisoner safety and wellbeing
• Conduct frequent inspections of prisoners in custody
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of activities
• Prepare and distribute meals and medications
• Clean and disinfect cells and booking areas
Requirements:
• Up to six months in a related security role
