Seating Project Engineer

The Role

As a Seating Project Engineer, you will be lead the design and development of seat structures, foams, trims, and mechanisms. Ensuring compliance with ergonomic, safety, and durability requirements.

Your responsibilities:

· Support CAD development, interface definition, and packaging studies.

· Own the delivery of seating systems to program milestones (e.g., VP, Job 1).

· Track engineering release schedules, cost targets, and weight metrics.

· Coordinate with suppliers to manage tooling, prototype builds, and part approvals.

· Support comfort assessments, occupant safety evaluations, and durability testing.

· Drive resolution of technical issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

· Benchmark competitor seating systems and contribute to future feature strategy.

· Interface with Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Studio Design teams.
