Scientist - Transfusions

About the role

Mater Pathology has an exciting opportunity for a Scientist to join our Transfusion team! This role will be offered as a 12mth maximum term contract, working 34.2 hours a per work across a 9 day fortnight. Reporting to the Supervising Scientist, you will be based at our South Brisbane campus in our Main Transfusion laboratory. The role routinely includes 24/7 shift work, including weekends.

The purpose of the role is to deliver a high quality and cost-effective diagnostic service on behalf of Mater Pathology within the Transfusion department, supplying operational direction utilising contemporary technology and best practice standards, for clinicians and their patients. This position requires a well-developed level of scientific knowledge, operational experience and skills to provide operational testing for blood and blood related products within the Laboratory.

Salary range: $43.68 - $58.59 per hour and +
