Job Summary

Position: Weighing & Supervisory – Afternoon Shift (3:00pm–11:00pm), full‑time, Monday‑Friday. The role involves repetitive weighing of soil/rock powders for the chemical laboratory and supervising the afternoon shift.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and maintain work schedules; use metrics to track and evaluate weigh performance; provide effective feedback, resolve issues, and continuously improve procedures.
• Ensure samples move through quickly, reducing turnaround time and quality problems; control costs.
• Provide technical training and guidance to technicians.
• Perform weigh procedures and tasks as needed.
• Ensure turnaround time meets client and President’s requirements; work overtime when required.
• Maintain department resources, cleanliness, organization, and equipment maintenance.
• Use LIMS and the Support Site to create rush lab jobs and additional lab jobs for afternoon weighing. ...
