Sales Associate

• Welcome customers and help them with the selection of merchandise
• Answer customers' questions concerning location, price and use of merchandise
• Uphold customer service standards
• Obtains merchandise requested by customer or receives merchandise selected by customer
• Obtains or receives merchandise delivered
• Sets up advertising displays
• Arranges merchandise on shelves, counters or table to promote sales
• Ensure stock levels on the sales floor are maintained continually
• Stamps, marks tag price on merchandise
• May calculate sales discount to determine price
• May keep record of sales, prepare inventory stock or order merchandise
• May be designated according to product sold or type of store
• Participate in counting store's physical inventory
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning shelves, counters or tables and dispose of cardboard waste and trash.
