Summary About the Position: Position serves as a Range Operations Controller for the Baumholder Major Training Area (BMTA) and the U.S. controlled Local Training Area (LTA) in Baumholder, Germany. The BMTA and LTA facilities consist of approximately 32,0000 acres of training land. The mission of the Range Operations Controller to is to supervise and control the safe use of all Baumholder Major Training Area and Local Training Area facilities as well as operate the Range Control Communications Center. Responsibilities Controls and oversees the safe use of all Baumholder Major Training Areas (BMTA) and Local Training Areas (LTA) facilities. Issues detailed safety related instructions to ground units conducting live ammunition firing on all live-fire ranges and troop training areas.
