SAFETY HEALTH OFFICER

Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards.
2. Recommend and implement corrective/preventive measures.
3. Ensure compliance with OSHA 1994, FMA 1967 and other applicable safety and health regulations.
4. Liaise with DOSH, BOMBA, DOE and other regulatory bodies when required.
5. Develop and enforce company safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
6. Update documentation in line with changes to laws or site conditions.
7. Organise and conduct safety briefings, tool box meetings, induction programs and emeHargency drills.
8. Educate staff on safe work practices and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
9. Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses.
10. Produce reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
11. Maintain records of inspections, incidents, audits, training and PPE issuance.
