HGI is looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage and maintain accurate financial records for our Australian client. The role focuses on recording all transactions in Xero and preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS) for review, ensuring compliance with Australian accounting and taxation requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain all company financial transactions accurately in Xero, including:
- Sales and purchase invoices
- Bank and credit card transactions
- Expenses and reimbursements
- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations
- Prepare BAS reports for review (no lodgement required)
- Ensure correct GST coding and tax treatment of transactions
