Reliability Engineering Intern (Mining Equipment)

Description In this role, you won’t just observe—you’ll contribute to real engineering work that impacts equipment performance and reliability. You will:

Work directly with Reliability Engineers on active mining operations

Build hands‑on experience with Caterpillar heavy equipment

Apply classroom knowledge to real‑world engineering challenges

Develop your skills in data analysis, diagnostics, and performance optimization

Gain exposure to industry‑leading tools, systems, and technical training

What You’ll Be Doing Planning and Assembly of 7495 Mining Shovel (90%)

Assemble drawing/job packages for trades (Mechanics, Welders and Electricians)

Perform site safety inspections

Monitor project consumables and aid in ordering

Create daily progress reports

Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control checks and documentation

Update drawing and picture libraries
