Registered Nurse-Nurse Scientist

Responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when performing as a researcher, administrative/leader specific to evidence-based practice (EBP) and research, consultant, educator, and mentor serving the STVHCS. The nurse scientist is responsible for performing duties within alignment to the institution's priorities to promote clinical care inclusive of improved quality and safety.

Duties

As the Nurse Scientist Registered Nurse (RN) you will have specific assignments for designated/distinct areas of focus within the Patient Care Service (PCS). You will work under a senior nursing scientist or autonomously to conduct research as a funded principal investigator of nursing science projects, build your own program of research to support facility priorities and operate as a subject matter expert about research and EBP.
