Recreation Leader 1

Overview

Our Parks, Recreation and Culture department is seeking a motivated individual for the role of Recreation Leader 1 in Youth Recreation Services. Typical duties include providing customer service; preparing and leading program plans for youth; assisting the supervisor to schedule indoor and outdoor activities; resolving conflicts and situations involving patrons; promoting interest and participation in program activities and events; enforcing departmental policies and procedures; and ensuring required standards of behavior, safety and security are maintained. This position involves records keeping and preparation of reports related to activities and inventory, creating signs and promotional information, and assisting in the training and direction of staff and volunteers. Performs related work as required.
