Quote Specialist

The Quote Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations for precision‑manufactured parts. This role requires strong understanding of machining processes, material selection, tolerances, and cost drivers to ensure accurate cost estimation and timely response to customer RFQs. The Quote Specialist works closely with Engineering, Production, and Procurement to validate manufacturability, capacity, and pricing.

1. RFQ Review & Cost Estimation

• Review customer drawings, specifications, GD&T, and technical requirements.
• Analyze machining feasibility based on complexity, tolerances, materials, and finishing requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates including material, machining time, tooling, fixtures, special processes, and logistics.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and propose alternatives when appropriate.
