Quotation Engineer Position Overview
- Reviewing customer RFQs, engineering drawings, models and technical specifications.
- Assessing manufacturing methods, machining processes, cycle times and material requirements.
- Producing accurate cost estimates and quotations for CNC machined components and assemblies.
- Liaising with customers regarding technical and commercial queries.
- Obtaining and evaluating supplier quotations for materials, treatments and subcontract services.
- Identifying manufacturing risks, opportunities and cost‑saving solutions.
- Working closely with production, planning and engineering teams to ensure estimates reflect manufacturing capability.
