The Quantity Surveyor (QS) is responsible for managing project costs, estimates, and contract documentation throughout all stages of construction. The role ensures that projects are completed within budget, timeframe, and compliance standards , while coordinating effectively with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors .
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for architectural, structural, and MEP works.
- Issue and evaluate Request for Quotations (RFQs) from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist in tender preparation, bid analysis, and contract negotiation .
- Monitor project cost control , including budget tracking, cost forecasting, and variance reporting .
- Handle progress billing, payment certifications, and evaluation of change orders or variation claims .
