About the Role
QC Electrical Engineer for a Solar Power Plant is responsible for making sure all electrical works are done correctly, safely, and according to standards—from installation up to commissioning. Here's a clear, practical breakdown.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and monitor electrical installation works (PV modules, DC/AC cabling, inverters, combiner boxes, transformers, substations).
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specs, IEC/NEC standards, and project requirements.
- Conduct and witness electrical tests:
- Insulation Resistance (IR)
- Continuity tests
- Polarity checks
- String testing
- Inverter & transformer testing
- Prepare and submit Inspection Request (IR) and Quality Reports.
- Identify non-conformities (NCR) and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
