Job Description

The daily duties of the job will be performing EMT PSCAD simulation and python code development. PSCAD is an EMT simulation software that is the center of the modeling for the PV and BESS systems. Plants are generally greater than 20MVA. PSSe software is used to benchmark (overlay) PSCAD results to confirm model matching. The group is responsible for international grid code compliance. This is achieved with python wrapping for automation of simulations and python-based plotting and analysis of the results. You will contribute over time to building an international compliance software that can confirm that new firmware meets requirements and does not introduce bugs. You will also be exposed to R&D control algorithms in grid forming and grid following PV and BESS, and the latest developments in grid compliance.
