About the Role

The Purchasing Manager will lead and support their team of Buyers to ensure that they meet their goals and continuously improve their performance.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead the team of Buyers (8-10) in Mexicali
- Set performance goals for the Buyers and establish actions plans to meet them
- Manages the regional Buyer team including coaching, training, resource allocation, PTO, HR systems maintenance )
- Serves as the 1st point of escalation for expediting critical shortages for Operations.
- Lead lean, cost savings and continuous improvement projects related to purchasing, space optimization, and inbound freight costs as required
- Recommends ideas that improve effectiveness and efficiency of team to Director, Americas Purchasing
- Reviews all purchase orders that require approval per Vertiv procedures to ensure SOX compliance Responsible for ensuring that procedures exist and are documented to support Buyers’ compliance with Vertiv Procurement and Ope...
